ACMG PROMOTES GEENTICS PROFESSION THROUGH NPR CAMPAIGN IN SEPTEMBER

The American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics is a proud partner with National Public Radio and is spreading the word about the benefits of seeking health services from professionals trained in genetics. The spots, which can be heard below, raise the profile of medical geneticists. Segments are running on Morning Edition, Science Friday, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition and BBC Science in Action on Chicago Public Radio in September. The spots, which can be heard on the homepage of www.acmg.net, raise the profile of medical geneticists, encourage the public and professionals to visit the ACMG website and also commemorate national newborn screening month.

Funding for the NPR campaigns was made possible by the generous support of the Abbott Fund and Abbott Vysis Corporation, by F. Hoffman LaRoche and by the Perkin Elmer Corporation, whose unrestricted educational grants help to support and promote the initiatives of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics Foundation.
