Gamete donation has enabled countless individuals to build families and is a central component of third-party reproduction. It provides an alternative pathway for reproduction for individuals with infertility, as well as for individuals who cannot conceive through traditional means, including same-sex couples and those without a partner.1 This complex and meaningful process brings together a diverse group of stakeholders—gamete banks, fertility clinics, donors, recipients, and donor-conceived persons (DCP)—each contributing unique experiences, responsibilities, expectations, and perspectives.
